This concise and authoratative discussion of Mothe Lode Geology was written by Calaveras County Mining geologist Willard P. Fuller, jr.  Made possible by a 1979 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities obtained by the Calaveras Heritage Council, it provided the background for an long-runningj field class through Comumbia College.  Co-taught by Fuller and Dr. Milton B. Smith, the course was immensly popular and many students enrolled numerous times.  This document should prove useful to any inquiry into the geology of the ocunty.
