The authoratative history book on Mokelumne Hill is The Romance of Mokelumne Hill, by Eve Starcevich Zumwalt (Pioneer Publishing Co. Fresno, CA, 1990).  Full of historical details, maps, and photographs, it is the go-to reference book for researching the town.  However, the book is not indexed and finding information on specific topics or individuals can be frustrating.  To remedy this, the pages have been scanned into PDF format for OCR recognision by the Mokelumne Hill Hist;ory Society.  The file can be accessed below and downloaded to your computer.
