Three major Mother Lode reservoirs exist within Calaveras, all in the western part of the county–Camanche, Hogan and Pardee. All are great places for fishing, boating, camping and hiking. Because Pardee is utilized for municipal water supplies, swimming, water skiing and jet-skiing are prohibited.
